IVR & VoiceXML
Voxtron Communication Center supports 2 types of Interactive Voice Response modules:
- Proprietary IVR Application Development toolkit (refer to Axxium)
- Voxtron VoiceXML Engine
Voice eXtensible Markup Language (VoiceXML) is a standard language for programming telephony-based speech applications. VoiceXML is defined by the members of the VoiceXML Forum (www.voicexml.org).
The VoiceXML protocol supports natively both ASR (Automatic Speech Recognition) and DTMF (telephone touchtone) as input. Output is generated by a dynamic TTS (Text-To-Speech) engine or is assembled by prerecorded audio files.
Voxtrons VoiceXML Engine is a premium platform for telephony applications of the next generation. Since developers can use the Internet infrastructure and its related technologies and tools, VoiceXML drastically reduces the time to develop new services. It enables a distributed application design based on a central infrastructure and therefore is ideal for hosting applications.
